My first week @ Lifting Group

Hello everyone and welcome at my blog 😊. Finally here I am, Barcelona! I’ve been looking forwards to this for months and at last here it is. My first post is going to be about the company I am currently doing an internship for called the Lifting Group in Barcelona.

The Lifting Group is a digital marketing/strategy agency that is located in 4 different countries in Europe namely France, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK. I am working for a department that is called Freefalling and it is a group of interns that introduce new products in markets that they are specialized in. For example, there is an Italian guy named Ricardo and he is responsible for the introduction and maintenance of the products introduced in the Italian market. So just like Ricardo is responsible for the Italian market I am responsible for the introduction of new product in the Belgian and Dutch market. It is very exciting and I have already learned so much in the last 4 days!

The gadgets I got on my first day @ the Lifting Group

Just to give you an impression of how cool the company is I added a picture of all the welcome gadgets I received on my first day at The Lifting Group. It is really a company where you can develop your skills to the maximum and where they encourage new ideas and brainstorming. Perfect for me and my unlimited imagination. I hear you wondering? Why the headphones? Well, we got them because they encourage us to listen to music and isolate ourselves when we feel like concentrating 100 %. So when someone is listening to music you know that you cannot interrupt the person unless it is crazy important. But no one is wearing the headphones longer than 30 minutes, so it is not like someone is isolated from the rest of the group for an entire day.

So the 2 words I would like to to summarize my first week @the Lifting Group with are: Feeling Welcome.
