Hello guys, today I am going to introduce you to my colleagues at Lifting Group. My internship is very interesting and I will learn a lot over the next months but the one thing I look forward to every day is having some nice conversations with my co-workers. We are a team of about 16 people from different countries with different mother tongues. The people you see on the picture below are more or less all the interns that are working on similar projects within the Free Falling department of Lifting Group and we spend 8,5 hours together in one room every day.

But LUCKILY they don't only care about working, they also care about having fun and drinking a beer now and then! Guess what? Me too! Last Saturday night we were invited by one of our colleagues called Line, she lives in a very nice, alternative neighbourhood. We were told to bring our own food but like most things in Spain, there was no organization š So I begged them to make something where we can register what everybody would bring because there is no way I was only going to eat dessert because nobody cooked proper food. And you don't want to see me angry about my food š
They got the message and everyone filled in the document on time except for me. I had no idea I was going to cook for all these people. I wanted to make something typical Belgian like "Stoofvlees" or "Frietjes met Vol-au-vent" (for the not Belgian in our midst, Google it, it's amazing) but I figured that this was maybe a little exaggerated and it had to be something easy to eat without having to eat it at a table. Sooo, I made... meatballs. Everyone loved them and now they can stop making meatballs-jokes. (PS: Line is the girl with the weird face in the left corner)

The dinner itself was very nice, we had a lot of typical food from different countries and we can all participate in MasterChef now! But not everything last forever and especially when you have old neighbours and you have a party at Saturday night and she comes complaining at 22:30. So at 12:00 we had to leave the apartment. So we went to out to a bar to drink a beer, and it was fun!
There was the opportunity to order a 5 litter tap and we took it with both hands (+free popcorn). See the picture below and you will understand. After this we went home and I slept like a baby.

Just to finish this amazing weekend we went to the beach together. We had some leftovers from the night before and made a picknick out of it. We hade a nice time and a sunburn (you can see the pictures in on the page "Pictures", obviously). And that is how I finished this wonderful weekend with my dear collegues. Thank you for the warm welcome at Lifting Group guys!
One of the best things indeed when doing an internship, having a chance to work with a variety of people. And I guess you nailed it!
Looks like you are having a proper blast mate! Keep it going :)
